Adam Smith began his career as a member of the SEAL Teams and has taken the tenacity, leadership, and initiative he learned with him throughout his career. Those traits led to winning an international AXIEM award for production work, being hand selected by Congress to examine critical infrastructure, and helping his team win an Army's Greatest Invention Award while taking communications equipment from an Army lab prototype to full scale manufacturing under a PEO IEW&S. Adam graduated from the top of his undergraduate management class and went on to earn an MBA from Maryland. He has been a certified Project Management Professional and held the American Society of Quality's top management certification. Mr. Smith is dedicated to applying his wide knowledge base and diverse successes to help small business grow.
Clarence Taylor is a retired Army officer with over 35 years of experience. As a business developer in the DoD space he has $100's of millions of successful closes under his belt. With extensive program and capture management in services and products, Clarence is a valuable resource in identifying new business opportunities and developing the business practices and operational concepts essential for helping small businesses grow. Clarence provides the tactical and strategic support Cobalt's clients need to excel.
John Varca is Cobalt's CFO and oversees it's financial and accounting clients. John is a results oriented expert in full financial operations including planning, reporting, auditing, program conversions, and financial systems. He has over 25 years specializing in small- and medium-sized government contracting firms and has a great deal of experience with successful DCAA, GSA, and IRS audits. John uses his extensive knowledge to help growing businesses adopt the tools and processes they need to continue to scale their organizations.
With over 25 years of C4ISR Systems Engineering experience, Kent is an excellent addition to Cobalt. Kent assists Cobalt's clients in technical evaluations and oversees Cobalt's network of engineering staff for staff augmentation assignments.
